Note the question is “should,” not “could,” because there’s no way the Washington Wizards are going to jettison the one variable that has nothing to do with their inconsistency. But with all things being equal, including last year’s poor start to the season and the continued defensive struggles of the team, is there room to [...]

To answer that question, you have to look at what you knew about both teams before the season started, and what we’ve learned thus far.

So we learned that the selfish comments recently made by Gilbert Arenas were directed at Caron Butler, and mostly crafted out of Arenas’ frustration with the offense. Needless to say, Arenas never should have said anything publicly, but apparently the two have talked and patched it up.
So glad it didn’t evolve to the point [...]

Used to be that when you talked about the Washington Wizards, there were but a few words that immediately came to mind when describing them on the court. Off the court, you had no problems; swag, quirky, extroverted, silly, immature. The majority of the Wizards were all of those things.
But last night’s season-opening road win [...]

The NBA just put out its annual survey of league general managers, and wouldn’t you know it; the Washington Wizards may not be such a bad team by their standards.
The Wiz have been voted most improved by a wide margin, which means that either Flip Saunders is that good a head coach, Gilbert Arenas [...]

While this saying hasn’t been popular since my days at Parkdale High School in the late 90’s, Flip Saunders indeed ‘got the gas’ upon hearing that his Washington Wizards would pick fifth in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Most folks know that I am against the hiring of Flip Saunders to be the next coach of the Washington Wizards, but I must admit, Bullets Forever has begun the campaign to change my opinion.
Because the beginning of all basketball knowledge is knowing that the ball don’t lie.

You can’t possibly fire a guy that has yet to formally be hired, but you can certainly say NO to his arrival in Washington.
For your Wizards head coaching displeasure, it’s SayNoToFlip.com, and it may be the first preemptive blog strike against a head coach in the D.C. area since the early inception of FireJimZorn.com.
There is [...]

Say what you will about the personalities, career wins and all of that, the question you have to ask yourself with the Flip Saunders-to-the-Wizards rumors is really quite simple.
Will Gilbert Arenas like playing for him?
Because if the answer is yes, which is what Saunders has generally been praised for throughout his career, you can look [...]

Before you scoff, check the knowledge on why Flip Saunders was running defensive drills at Wizards camp.
My initial line of thinking was to wonder who invited Saunders to camp. If it was Grunfeld, does this ruffle the feathers of Eddie Jordan? I doubt it as Jordan seems like a ‘check the ego at the door’ [...]
