It’s all coming to an end for the Baltimore Ravens. The smothering defense, the happy-go-disciplined approach to the game. The youthfulness of playing football. Time and coaching acumen have all caught up to the Baltimore Ravens, and one of its best defenders sits on the sideline with a difficult decision that has just one possible [...]

We know for a fact that Ed Reed’s neck injury of two seasons ago caused him to consider retirement. Obviously, like most football players money and pride diverted his course back to superior play-making for the Ravens.
And while he has played at a Pro Bowl level, his neck may be paying a hefty price that [...]

The passion is still there. The youth and the speed that once meshed so beautifully with the physicality, however, are not.
If you want to look at what happened to the Baltimore Ravens defense locals came to cherish and the league came to fear, Father Time has all of the answers you need. I’m not saying [...]

You thought that Washington had a hard time in victory? Try being a Ravens fan. The birds win another close one, albeit it on the road against a Super Bowl contender. But this time, the holes in teh defensive secondary became gaping clearance for flight out of BWI.
Through two games, there shouldn’t be any team [...]

It would be one thing if the Ravens had injuries at positions eased by great depth; you know, like running back or offensive guard?
Instead, several pro bowl-level Ravens are injured, and if they are serious, they could significantly derail the Ravens chances for a playoff berth, let alone the Super Bowl.

Three touchdowns in three years. It’s a stat line that doesn’t come close to the explosive potential of Demetrius Williams, but it is a nagging reality for a Baltimore Ravens offense that is becoming a vacation spot for rumors involving disgruntled receivers around the league.
He has the size and speed to be a number [...]

It’s been some hours since the game ended. I’ve read the multitude of text messages that I got right after the the interception and touchdown run. I’ve had time to think about it, and the conclusion is still the same.
Ed Reed is the best safety in the history of the NFL.

The one thing the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens will always get credit for is stocking all-pro talent. The Ravens know how to draft it, and the Redskins know how to get it through free agency. Sometimes.

There’s very little I’ll ever agree upon with Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston. You don’t need formal training in journalism to know that the majority of his takes and opinions on the Ravens are constructed out of a nagging envy of the star defensive players on the Ravens team.
But there is one compliment that I [...]

Not surprisingly, the Baltimore Ravens’ super safety Ed Reed publicly questioned Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid’s decision to bench Donovan McNabb in last week’s game in Baltimore. Needless to say, the commentary came today on a radio program after Reed and the Ravens were some hours removed from dismantling the Eagle offense and setting [...]
