Is anyone paying attention to Cristian Guzman? Now that the Nats got their first win of the season last night against the Philadelphia Phillies, there’s enough reason to check for a guy who, if he played for the New York Mets or St. Louis Cardinals, would be getting considerable attention in the national media.

Jamie Mottram doesn’t agree with the Nats giving “all-star” Cristian Guzman $16 mil over the next two, and picking up a second baseman who’s been above average in Double-A ball in exchange for the squad’s best reliever. I concur with the Mottram.
