John Harbaugh to Root for Indiana Against the Terps
Ravens coach John Harbaugh has fully integrated himself into the local sports scene. He enjoys rocking the red for the Caps and the Terps, even if it means his face gets booed on the Jumbotron.
But Harbaugh’s family ties will have Terps fans in knots tonight, because he will be cheering on his brother-in-law Tom Crean and Crean’s Indiana Hoosiers when they face the Maryland Terrapins in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
“[Terps coach] Gary [Williams] does know Iām rooting against him,” Harbaugh said today. “I let him know that ā in no uncertain terms ā that this is the only game of the year that the Harbaughs will be rooting against him and the Terps. Blood is thicker than water.”
Nothing wrong with that; it is family after all. Plus, when you beat the Steelers, you can pretty much get away with anything for a 48-72 hour period.
