DMV Reigns Supreme in Crab Bowl
In metro areas where basketball is the sport of leisure and survival, the Crab Bowl provides a cute gridiron distraction just prior to the Christmas break.
And this year, the DC area all-stars proved better than those from Charm City, as they stifled the Baltimore all-stars in a defensive showcase, 24-21.
Again, it’s a nice contest to have for the few football stars we have within the Baltimore-Washington corridor. But this ain’t Texas. By and large, if the game doesn’t have a shot clock and a guest appearance by Carmelo Anthony or Kevin Durant, we probably aren’t trying to hear it. No matter what end of 295 you live on.
