Chris Cooley Breaks Tibia, Hearts Across the DMV

Oh the irony of the Washington Redskins. The team’s best talent and most marketable player goes down with a broken tibia while running a route.

Oddly enough, it may be a blessing in disguise for the Redskins’ offense. Without Cooley on the field to provide a comfortable target for Jason Campbell, the QB starting looking to other options on the field. Fred Davis and Devin Thomas both scored and contributed in the loss.

But largely, Chris Cooley is the guy everybody wants to see, even when they don’t want to watch this sorry excuse for an NFL franchise. He’s the one with the entertaining media presence, and he was the one most primed to represent the Redskins in the Pro Bowl.

Chris Cooley, our hearts go out to you. And the white-hot anger of Redskins fans towards Daniel Snyder resumes in 5…4…3…2…
