Local Athletes Who Shouldn’t Use Twitter: The Troy Smith Edition
Here’s rule number one if you are a professional athlete that is catching onto the Twitter craze. If you aren’t going to keep your on-camera and social networking personas the same, get somebody to Tweet for you.
Case in point is Baltimore Ravens quarterback Troy Smith. From profanity to drug references to vulgar thanks extended to Cleveland party goers, here’s one instance of when keeping it Twitterrific goes horribly wrong.
A piece of advice, TS10 – if you ever want to be taken seriously by executives, corporations looking for pitch men, and the community at large, put more stock into the common sense you are desperately trying to hide online.
