Greatest Comeback in Orioles’ History – The Morning After

I watched the first three innings of the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox last night, and figured it was over. 4-0 after the second, and there was little consolation to watch other than to remark about how opposing fans always take over Camden Yards – even on dreary, rain-delayed days.

Then, inexplicably, the Orioles woke up and staged the biggest comeback in team history. No need for the particulars of the comeback, just know that they came back and stunned a Red Sox bullpen that is the best in baseball.

So what happens now? Is there renewed hope in Baltimore for this Orioles team, or was this just a star-aligned moment that will work well for MASN campaigns, but not so much in turning the tide on another lost season?

I tend to go with the former. It would take a 30-game hitting streak by Matt Wieters and eight in a row to convince me that the Orioles are legit, and even then, I might have reservations about the pitching and baserunning. But as it stands, I’ll enjoy this win and this commemorative photo courtesy of Camden Chat.
