Tony Kornheiser Thinks Gilbert Arenas is a “Team Killer”

Known for his humorous and outrageous hyperbole, Tony Kornheiser has created a notable career in sports journalism for being over the top. And in most cases, it’s entertianing and enjoyable.
Except when he’s talking about Gilbert Arenas.
Say he can’t be serious, say he plays too much. But don’t call him a team killer. Especially when the Wizards aren’t much of a team without him playing.
I get that Kornheiser has to continually live up to a personal brand he’s worked hard to market, so I won’t knock him on the brashness of his comment. He gets paid to do it, and he does it well.
But you can at least knock him for accuracy, and in his former life as a journalist, accuracy is something he would’ve gladly favored over self-aggrandizement.
