PETA Hearts the Baltimore Orioles
People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals has named Oriole Park at Camden Yards one of its top-ten vegetarian-friendly ballparks in 2009. The central command post for Birdland makes the list for the first time, lauded for its selection of veggie burgers and hot dogs, paninis, salads, wraps and fruit cups.
In other news, Boog Powell has partnered with Camden Yards and local scientists to convert all of the wasted vegetables used to make vegetarian entrees into cleaner-burning charcoal for his outdoor grills.
