Redskins Fans – The Worst Enablers in All of Professional Sports
This is your fault, Redskins fans.
Jason Campbell is on the verge of demanding a trade because the Washington Redskins have the worst owner in all of pro sports. This is the same Jason Campbell that went half of an NFL season without an interception in 2008. The same Campbell that took the blame for Jim Zorn’s ineffective game planning and play calling in the second half of the season with a promise of “I will get better.” The same Jason Campbell who has become an institution in the Washington sports community and more than any other Redskin, embodies the mantra of “Staying Medium,” even in the face of rumors and public humiliation.
And this is the thanks he gets?
Thanks a lot, Redskins fans. For those with no investment in the team’s success or failure, you sure make it difficult to have any rooting interest in the team.
You all make the team one of the most profitable franchises in the NFL. You buy jerseys, pay for parking, eat hot dogs, sit in the expensive seats, and burn up the sports talk station that Snyder owns. You give Snyder the green light to destroy the Redskins, because your money gives the signal that you don’t mind. Not in the least bit.
And the sad part is, for as much as the Redskins fan base claims to be against the team acquiring Sanchez, you can all but guarantee that his jersey will be among the top sellers for the team’s merchandising. Any other reputable team with as much tenure as the Skins, their fan base is burning down team headquarters, canceling season tickets en masse, and blogging the team under the stadium for gross incompetence.
Here in Washington? Cop that “Snyder Sucks” shirt, and get your boys together for the Skins’ draft party.
So, get ready for Sanchez, and say goodbye to the good guy in Jason Campbell. You paid for this, Redskins fans, and you’re going to continue to do so.
Hail indeed, you stupid, stupid people.

What idiot wrote this article? Well you obviously know nothing about the Redskins, and obviously haven’t watched Jason Campbell very often. I have been a Redskin fan for 25 years and I laugh at your ignorance. First of all, the reason Jason only had 6 INT’s was because he is scared to throw the ball more than 2 yards down the field and oh yeah he fumbles the ball like it’s his x-wife. You are defending Campbell, a QB that goes 5-6 a couple years back and MR. BACKUP QB Todd Collins comes in and goes 5-0 to put us in the playoffs. TODD COLLINS……Case closed……..all these idiot media people just looking for something to talk about and defending this mediocre at best QB. Jason seems like a good guy, but he has proved very little. And you mention if we get Sanchez, we will be buying shirts and jerseys…………damn straight we will be buying shirts and jerseys because we are SKINS fans….we support are team no matter what!!!! Unlike you, who was probably a Steelers fan in the 70s, a 49ers fan in the 80s, a Cowboy fan in the 90s, and you are probably either a Pittsburgh fan or Patriot fan now………….idiot!!!
Way to prove my point. Enjoy 7-9 this year. Here’s where your argument falls short.
1. Campbell does fumble, thanks to a patchwork offensive line.
2. Are you talking about the same Todd Collins who looked HORRIBLE in the Zorn offense?
3. Why go back to Campbell’s 5-6 a couple years ago. 8-8 with no interceptions in the first 8 games seemed pretty darn good to me.
4. Nothing wrong with supporting your team, or anything else. But do you really feel comfortable cheering for an owner who’s proven time and time again that he is inadequate and intrusive when it comes to building a good football team?
