Jason Taylor to the Redskins Didn’t Work

Most people who know football knew that Jason Taylor to the Washington Redskins was not going to work. Injury played a part, which no one saw coming, and I even went so far as to say he didn’t want to play football anymore.

Turns out, he doesn’t want to be required to work out.

So Jason Taylor becomes another furious free agent signing that made the Washington Redskins the champions of off-season news headlines and jersey sales. You hate to be proven right for the wrong reasons, but this exercise grows tiresome every off-season. The Redskins throw millions of dollars around, make grand prognostications of getting better as a team, only for the players to be the worst fit you could possibly plug into the Redskins schemes.

Hail indeed.

  1. I wonder if the Skins knew Taylor would turn them down when asking for the workout stipulation….probably.

I’d be really curious to know what kind of locker room character he was…..I mean, he seemed like a decent dude, but was he a leader?

    Who knows?

Wait, wait, wait, so you’re telling me another one of Dan Snyder’s genius moves to get yet another overpriced and over-aged player didn’t work out. No way…

  3. JC says:

I don’t think he was a leader, but it was never reported that he was like the L. Arrington strain of a locker room cancer.

Max – Deion Sanders resents that comment.
