Could Darrius Heyward-Bey Be a Baltimore Raven?
If you ask Darrius Heyward-Bey about his preferable site of employment, the Baltimore Ravens seem like an ideal fit for the speedster.
“That will be great,” he said after delivering a strong performance in position drills. Flacco “went to Delaware and did a great job last year. I could go there and be a weapon for them. We could grow together … write that.”
Sounds good to me. With a level of uncertainty about Derrick Mason, and the emergence of Mark Clayton as a deep threat, this might be a move the Ravens want to make in the first round. Ozzie Newsome is good with behind-the-scenes work, gauging what teams want to do with their picks and negotiating to stock his own squad.
So if the interest holds throughout the league for Heyward-Bey and his size and speed, it might take the Ravens giving a little to get a potentially dangerous offensive weapon to grow along with Joe Flacco. And it just might be worth the move.
