The Maryland Lady Terrapins are so much better than their road loss to Virginia its not even funny. Granted, the Virginia Lady Cavaliers weren’t pushovers as the 18th-ranked team in the country, but the last thing College Park wants to see is its best basketball team playing below expectations.
The men? Oh, don’t worry about the Maryland Terrapins anymore. They’ll likely be getting rid of their allergic-to-recruiting coach and instilling President Obama-levels of security for Greivis Vasquez on campus. You ladies are the sole ray of hope in D.C.-area college basketball.
You are the winners of the last national championship for the area. You have a classy and likeable coach, who consistently grabs top regional talent to race to annual top-ten national finishes.
So don’t you go blowing leads on the road to Virginia, Lady Terrapins. Don’t you even think about it. Because it’s a known fact that an angry Kristi Toliver is a doomed planet Earth.
