Baltimore to Gary Williams: LMAO

How many times does Gary Williams have to be buried by ballers from his own back yard in one season? First, it was the kids from Morgan State that rocked his world. Last night, it was Charm City native Jack McClinton and the Miami Hurricanes who erased a 17-point second-half deficit to beat the Terps 62-60.

So let’s see, in the last three games, that’s a 14-point blown lead to the Bears, a 17-point blown lead to the Hurricanes, and about six blown potential recruits to the Maryland Terrapins basketball program from Baltimore City.

So for more laughs, let’s take a look at the next five Terps opponents and their notable Maryland natives or former high school players from the Maryland-area.

Florida State – Uche Ecehfu – The senior forward is averaging eight points and five rebounds off the bench for the Seminoles.

Virginia – Mamadi Diane – Slowed by off-season foot surgery in 2009, Diane was the Cavs leading three-point shooter a year ago.

Duke – Nolan Smith – Sophomore guard is Duke’s fourth leading scorer.

Boston College – None

North Carolina – Ty Lawson – Latest great North Carolina point guard leads team in assists and steals.
