Andray Blatche is Too Hot To Handle

by JC on January 6, 2009

You’ve got to give it to Ivan Carter; the brother knows how to chase down the scoop on the Washington Wizards. Here’s an interesting tidbit on Andray Blatche and why he will be coming off the bench tonight against the Orlando Magic.

Songaila replaces Andray Blatche at center in the starting lineup tonight after Blatche had started the last 10 games. Blatche is healthy but when asked the reason for the move, interim coach Ed Tapscott called it a “team matter.”

I did a little asking around after Tapscott let us know about an hour before tip but wasn’t able to find out what exactly “team matter” means but I hear that it’s related to the way Blatche reacted after coming out of the game on Sunday against Cleveland.

Who would’ve guessed that Bulletproof had a little Allen Iverson in him? Maybe losing damn near thirty games in the first half of a season does that to a man, but it’s refreshing to see that Blatche has a semblance of a competitive conscience.

Even if it gets him benched.

Cursing out the Coaching Staff is not, I repeat, NOT a sign of a winner or a competitor, it’s a sign of immaturity and poor education. Don’t get them confused.

When compared to passing gas on the bench and being an ineffective player, cursing out a new coaching staff seems like he’s growing into a more mature and driven player.

I agree its not right, but its better than being complacent.

Maybe he farted nachos in Coach Tap’s face.
