Terrapin Fans Abandon Field Storming Etiquette

That’s about theĀ  only way I can justify Maryland football fans storming the field after defeating the 16th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels last Saturday. And they didn’t really storm the field, they just kind of quickly migrated to a particular side line.

But seriously, its not like the Terps were winless, or like the Heels were in the top five. In fact, divisional records placed the Terps as more of a lock for an ACC championship berth than North Carolina.

Terps fans, your indecisive storming of the field, combined with the questionable desire to do so, have rendered you locally laughable. You will have chances to redeem yourself during basketball season, but until then, may your women continue to be predominantly homely New Jersey natives, may your Under Armour chafe in places where the sun don’t shine, and may Kristi Toliver have mercy on your souls.

  1. New Jersey is the worst thing that ever happened to Maryland.

The fans were just restless from a rainy miserable day and a great reason to run down onto the field. They didn’t go into full celebration for beating UNC- the Terps own UNC in football. I’m sure the student body is aware that the Terps next two games are even bigger. As for Jersey students, its about damn time the state of Maryland got a little swagger.

  3. I love seeing the few fans who are cautious about charging the field… like they don’t want to get in trouble.

One thing I will credit Jersey with, Rutgers knows when and how to storm a field.

That is, when they are actually relevant.
