Of Course Maryland Beat North Carolina
I mean, the Tar Heels were nationally-ranked, weren’t they? If you want to beat Maryland, there’s one thing you don’t need and one thing you do.
You don’t need a number next to your name, and it would help if you had a losing record.
The good news is that the Terps control their own destiny in their drive towards a berth in the ACC championship game. Their two remaining opponents are Florida State and Boston College, who played yesterday and produced an Eagle upset that put the Terps in sole possession of the Atlantic division lead.
The bad news? Florida State is likely to be unranked when they visit College Park next week, and if the Terps lose, their road game against the Eagles is likely to be a must win that the Terps won’t likely win.
Beating ranked teams never made Terps fans so queasy.
