Hell Hath No Fury Like LaVar Arrington Scorned
LaVar Arrington does not like the Washington Redskins front office, and next to providing the DMV with the largest television screens and best loaded nachos money can buy, deflating their credibility is priority number one.
Steinz has some insight on his burning love for Daniel Snyder and Joe Gibbs. And keep in mind, burning love is a liberal translation for a want to go upside their heads on sight.
“I think Dan Snyder is scared to death of me,” Arrington said. “He won’t look at me. I tried to shake his hand at that luncheon. He shook my hand and was like, ‘How you doing, LaVar?’ and kept moving. I’m probably the only person that’s ever stood up to him and never backed down. I actually humbled myself to call Dan after Sean passed away to try to bury whatever me and him had going on between us. He called me back, and it was almost like he was reading a script. I root for the Redskins because how I feel about the fans outweighs how the organization treated me. I always take pleasure in taking jabs at Dan because people like him need that. There’s got to be a person out there who’s not afraid to do it.”
I commend Arrington for not backing down to Daniel Snyder. After all, there was some shady goings on with how his injury was handled, issues with his contract, and beef with the coaching staff. But aside from all that, I am particularly proud of Arrington for standing up to a guy who has made enough money from FedEx parking revenues alone to build a giant steel boot to punt the entire Sideline restaurant into Howard County. Plackemeier-style.
That takes heart. And LaVar Arrington’s got heart, and hot wings to boot.
