…that’s if he doesn’t carve out a career in the NFL. So far, the freshman tailback and son of special teams star Dave Meggett has carved out a nice spot in the Terps backfield, with 365 yards rushing and four touchdowns on the season.
It will be tough trying to supplant sophomore Da’Rel Scott as the primary Terrapins ball carrier, but if both can steer clear of injuries, it can make for a lightning-and-lighting styled backfield. Speed and pass catching ability should make for even more offensive looks, which can open it up for the rest of the receiving corps.
