The Irony of Signage and UVA Football

By JC • on October 2, 2008

The University of Virginia banned students and fans from bringing signs to games at the start of this football season. Now, with the Cavaliers mired in a 1-3 start, the university is lifting the ban and encouraging public displays of sexual innuendo and political stances henceforth.

Athletic director Craig Littlepage says in a statement released Thursday that the struggling football team needs support and encouraged all the students to turn out for Saturday night’s game against Maryland.

Look out, Terps. You’re going to have thousands of Wahoo fans eager to let you know that your sisters and mothers are chronic friend requesters on Facebook.
