Five Ways to Come to Grips With the Wizards’ Soon-To-Be-Squandered Season
The Washington Wizards will not be that good this season. Their best offensive weapon is out. Their team leader and best inside presence is out. The center that had all of the promise of being a decent center in the East? He’s out too.
And even when they all get back, there’s the tricky matter of getting back into playing shape, and gelling rotations.
So your best bet as a fan is to get over it, and use these five tips to take your mind off of what could’ve been. Here’s five tips that might help.
5. Invest your worrying in the Maryland Terrapins - The entire men’s program has so much to worry about. The football team has a star receiver they can’t use, and a house they have failed to protect as required by Under Armour law. The biggest stories in basketball recruiting are about who backed out of coming instead of who’s actually playing for the Terps, and Gary Williams is still too cool for school.
4. Try to find Freddy Adu - When’s the last time you heard about Freddy Adu? My best guess would be when he brought that PYT to the Wizards’ game a few months back.
3. Find out why the Alana Beard All-Star Card is only going for $2.50 - I mean, a piece of the freakin’ jersey that she WORE is included in the card! The JERSEY!!
2. One-up Chris Cooley and broadcast your genitals on Skype - You don’t have a morality clause in your contract, and its only bad if it gets emailed to your boss.
1. See how many Hip Hip Hoorays you can do in public before receiving a warning from authorities - I wouldn’t recommend this happening outside the realm of sobriety, but see how many times you and your friends can give three cheers for something before getting noticed by the cops.

Hmmmm…none of these sound better than watching Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee run around.
I’m still not counting this team out.

It changes now that we know Jamison won’t be out for long, but without major scorers in top condition, our defense is going to catch up with us in the worst way.
