D.C. United Fans Riverdance The Night Away

Since the Dead Tree Crew is waaaay to cool for this kind of stuff, the folks in Lot 8 show us all how to put more pep in our step following a D.C. United victory.

A few questions:

1. Did they bring that drum kit to the game with them? What if the United lost?

2. Is it just me, or did that guy in the Nixon Obama? mask resemble the Joker in the opening scene of “The Dark Knight?”

3. Why are exiting fans encouraged to join in the festivities? I usually don’t stand around watching dancing in the streets unless a boombox and pairs of shell-toe adidas are involved.

  1. I’m pretty sure that’s actually an Obama mask.

Way to go, JC. You confuse change with more of the same from 30 years ago.

  3. La Barra Blonde says:

That’s nothing. You should see them in the concourse during intermission or after games. And yes, they bring the drums to ALL the games, win or lose.

    Now THAT’s dedication.

Let’s see the Redskins or Wizards fans bring a full percussion set-up to all home games.

Hey, thanks for commenting on my vid – it’s true….full percussion – every game – win or lose. There are some other videos on youtube showing some of the concourse celebrating for those interested. It’s amazing – make sure to join the party if you’re ever at RFK. Vamos United!

    1. Yes, they bring the drums to every game, and that’s only a fraction. Also, it’s just “United”, as opposed to “the United”. People will jump all over you for that.

    2. Maybe a tiny bit.

    3. There are a lot of drunk people there. Plus, as was mentioned, there’s the traditional halftime concourse freak-out, so why not continue it later and elsewhere?

  9. JC says:

Good point. Public drunkenness does add an element of euphoria to the celebrations.
