Beware the Capitals Goal Horn
Everybody wants the Washington Capitals to score early and often, but when the team’s goal horn sounds like a chase scene out of Grand Theft Auto IV, well, that’s just slightly disturbing to me.

Huh???
The Caps have long had the siren as their goal celebration, I believe it dates back to 1974. At least as far back as I can remember is 1980 and they had it then. The Caps were the first team in the NHL to have some kind of celebration after goals of that nature. If someone can fill me in to other teams and when they did, I’d be appreciative.
I believe the horn was added when they went to the new building, I don’t remember it being part of Capital Centre.
Jarrod.
I’ve got no problem with the horn. It’s the horn’s ability to jolt your heart into cardiac arrest that troubles me.
