The thing about many D.C.-area athletes is that they support each other as spectators in the crowd. This couldn’t be more apparent in Washington Capitals’ uber star Alex Ovechkin seen here with his Sean Taylor on at yesterday’s Redskins game.
If this photo isn’t at least a finalist for the Pulitzer award, then no Hip Hip Hoorays for that voting committee.

Great to see the Great8 supporting the Skins. This proves that not only are we so lucky to have the best hockey player in the world in town, but that Ovie is a man who has a heart, personality and spirit as big as his salary.
All that, and a throwback helmet hat.
