What They’re Saying About Jim Zorn and George Bush Mountain Biking
So apparently, Jim Zorn has gone off the beaten path of mountain biking and now gets it in with George W. Bush. It’s wrong because it’s President Bush, it’s wrong because he’s a Cowboys fan and Zorn is the coach of the Redskins, and it’s wrong because I didn’t get to it before everyone else.
Here’s what the Diamond City bloggers are saying about it.
At first, we were all “WTF?” about this — Zorn and W going for a bike ride together? But then we realized that there is a simple explanation for why the two would quickly become friends: Game recognize game, playboy. Besides, Zorn deserves a day off. The team is so f**ked right now, that there’s nothing he’s gonna find in a film room that’ll fix this debacle.
Jim Zorn, as we know, also enjoys a good competitive, ride; can’t wait to find out who out-competitivized whom. Anyhow, in the same week that Joe Gibbs addressed the Republican convention (“I believe that electing John McCain and Sarah Palin will spark a return to God’s Word and a spiritual revival that will bring our nation together”), it’s clear that, unless they plan on turning heel and courting Jerry Jones and T.O., the Democratic ticket has some pretty severe catching up to do in Ashburn. I hear Fred Smoot has an interest in politics.
