Chris Turner is a Hero to All Back-Ups
He could’ve gone some where else and been a relative star. He might have even had a better chance at some looks from NFL scouts. But he’s playing the game how it goes, and its going to pay off for him in the end.
Because even the chef at Plato’s Diner could tell you that Turner is the man for the job over Jordan Steffy.
Turner is going to have his chances, that’s for sure. When Steffy is not injured, he’s inconsistent. Where Steffy has athleticism, Turner is poised. Where Steffy brings calm, Turner brings cool excitement.
And when Maryland finds itself 0-2 in ACC play to start the season, it will be Turner that pulls out the big win at home against Wake Forest.
Friedgen wants him in. Most fans want him in. But everybody is playing their role in supporting the local kid and fifth-year senior who has suffered two concussions for the program.
But no one is playing their role better than Turner.
