Sherrill Named to American League All-Star Team
When the Baltimore Orioles traded Erik Bedard to the Seattle Mariners last February, all signs indicated it was a sinking situation for Harbor City’s finest. They were losing a bonafide ace who served as their only significant pitching threat.
My how the Harbor tide has turned, as closer Goerge Sherrill has become the Orioles’ all-star and has played a major role in their turnaround this season. Second in the A.L. in saves and fourth in appearances, Sherrill is as reliable as they come for a team still trying to turn the corner in learning how to win.
Bedard? He’s 6-4 for the worst team in baseball.
Funny how things work out, especially for a team that rarely has things go its way.
