Serena Williams is Queen of the Washington Kastles
If I were a member of the Washington Kastles, I’d be pissed at Serena Williams. She gets to sashay in for one match, catch all of the area blogging heat, and roll like the city’s World Team Tennis franchise is her own personal vehicle for a field trip to the nation’s capital.
So what if she could get her name called out by E.U. on “Da Butt?” So what if she could out leg press Mike Sellers? This is a TEAM, Serena. There’s no DIVA in TEAM.
Maybe the loss at Wimbledon pissed her off enough to hang around for at least a few matches, rather than the exhibition B.S. she’s going to pull off tonight. The city deserves better than that. I mean, Justin Gimelstob has been trying to amp up the team, but so far he’s more known for wanting to hit a chick with a volley as hard as he can.
Even Got the Mayor all hyped up and sh*t.
Truth be told, I doubt her appearance will be of any true benefit to the Kastles. Inevitably all asked questions will be about the Tour, and inevitably she’ll come off bored and condescending as she usually does.
Just another night in Washington sports.

what u forgot to mention is that serena is so popular and a tennis influential figure that you took time to write an article about her, so in truth you should be happy that serena actually gives time for tennis and that even though she lost she still held her head high…so stop hating on serena coz only her and venus can generate so much interest towards tennis like never seen before!
yeah. what vince said.
Serena, we need you in DC and many of your fans here will be supporting you in NY so give us the time of our lives by watching you play.
