Despite the crying done by the Naval Academy regarding Maryland’s 2006 choice of bowl appearance, the two programs have agreed to meet on the football field in 2010.
The game will be played at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on September 4, 2010. The previous meeting between the two teams was close in margin, and a success in profit. The Terps defeated the Midshipmen 23-20 in 2005, and guaranteed the schools about $1 million each.
With the considerable regional interest in the game, it would be good to grow into an annual event. It would also be a good chance for the Midshipmen to get out every once in a while, considering the school’s efforts to transform them into robots.
