JC The Blogga - From the Producers of Gazo The Pranksta

by JC on October 17, 2007

Since Gilbert Arenas is coming out with a cartoon, I figured I might have a shot to ride the wave of adult-themed cartoons as well. After all, trying to get down with a phenomenon that started with the Simpsons and has its latest hilarious addition in Code Monkeys might make me more money than sitting around trying to get my blog purchased by some big-time sports outlet.

So, before HBO or Washington Post Live snatches it up, here’s your inside look at the character outline for my cartoon, JC The Blogga.

JC- A quiet, shy, kind and smart freshman sports writer for his high school newspaper in modern day Prince George’s County, MD. By day, he spends his time trying not to be embarrassed in class, and covering the girl’s soccer team, where he falls in love with Ke Ke, a lovely bench warmer. By night, he’s an eloquent yet anonymous sports blogger, and has friends in high places in the blogsphere.

The “M” Brothers - Two brothers that blog in their spare time that become fast friends with JC The Blogga. JC doesn’t learn their true identity until later on in the series where he becomes a valuable asset in their beef with an obnoxious sports talk radio duo. They give JC pointers on tailgating at Redskins games and scoring sweet youtube footage at birthday bashes for NBA players.

Principal Steinz -
A kind hearted soul with a manufactured tough exterior, Principal Steinz discovers JC’s secret blogging identity when he compares the writing styles of a soccer story in the school paper and some of the postings on JC The Blogga’s site. Is rough on JC in school, but encourages him in his blogging pursuits. Has an ongoing feud with the chairman of the school’s English department, Mr. Jasno.

Other bloggers will make cameo appearances throughout the series.
