100 Posts! Thanks For the Love!

by JC on August 31, 2007

This being my 100th post, I figured I’d have to thank some folks for the love in the short time I’ve been out.

A special thanks to blogs like TheBigLead.com, LarryBrownSports.com, (even though I can’t seem to comment there lately), and MindRiteSports.com, for linking to a brother’s material. To the local blogs like Dan Steinberg’s DC Sports Bog, and the Brothers Mottram and Mr. Irrelevant, for providing the best examples of local sports blogs.

To all the other blogs that I regularly post on (which you can find in the ‘Links’ to the right) particularly Cousins of Ron Mexico and LeaveTheManAlone.com, where I enjoy reading the content daily.

To Mike Wise, who set a helluva standard as the very first Q&A for this blog, and Mr. Scott Van Pelt, who represents Maryland and its local teams to the fullest, and has not sued me yet for blatantly using his name. I guess I’m not doing too bad by him, I’ve been lucky enough to have been added to his wikipedia entry. (See the second to last fun fact)

Last but not least, my lovely wife, who puts up with me constantly checking emails from reporters and news alerts, just because she loves me. In case you didn’t know, you can keep up with the adventure that is our marriage here.

As the gratitude parade rolls on, let’s take a look at the top ten states in the ScottVanPeltStyle union. These are the top areas visiting the site.

California
New York
Maryland
Virginia
Texas
District of Columbia
Illinois
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Georgia

While I’m not surprised at the West Coast affinity, (courtesy LBS) there is something that bothers me. According to the good folks at Google Analytics, the only state that has never visited the site is North Dakota.

North Dakota? What’s up wit’ dat? I’ve got love for you guys, especially since you have ties to the Maryland area through former Terrapin guard and local knucklehead Chris McCray.
